The TCB 60’s Jeans are a faithful reproduction of a standout silhouette from the 1960s denim era, known for its distinctive blue-leaning indigo tone, slubby texture, and naturally hairy fabric surface. These characteristics defined the look and feel of denim from this period, and have been carefully recreated in this modern reproduction.

The fabric is a 13oz denim made from San Joaquin cotton, grown in California’s Central Valley. 

Woven to emphasize uneven texture and surface depth, the denim develops a rich, vintage-style fade over time, revealing strong character with wear. The result is a fabric that feels both authentic and full of life from the very beginning.

The silhouette features a relaxed rise with generous room through the thigh, finishing with a natural taper toward the hem. This creates a comfortable, easy-to-wear fit that still retains the structured profile of classic 1960s denim.

Construction is completed using core-spun yarn in a 20-count thread throughout, ensuring durability while maintaining a traditional vintage appearance in the stitching.

The paper patch is handmade and designed to age alongside the jeans. As fading develops across the garment, the patch will gradually wear and eventually tear, revealing deeper indigo tones beneath—adding another layer of character over time.

In contrast to earlier decades, the 1960s construction method placed the patch after the jeans were assembled, rather than being integrated during construction. The stitching is intentionally set slightly inward from the edge, allowing the patch to naturally fray and curl with wear—an intentional design detail that reflects authentic vintage behavior from the era.
